Had a wonderful dinner (hearty moroccan soup called harira, chix tagine and couscous with chix and lots of vegetables and sauce, followed by sliced oranges with cinnamon, remarkably good!!)
They had a camp fire after dinner. The stars were amazing, didn’t see a single airplane or hear any sounds of civilization. They (the now 2 berber guides) drummed and sang and encouraged us to join in, which was fun. The French guy in the group (Guy- the principal fo the French School in Rabat) was the best contributor. The rest of us tried but couldn’t compete.
The next morning we were up at 5:45 and walked up dunes (no easy feat!!) to watch the sun light the dunes. It was lovely and so quiet. Trekked back to the lovely auberge, where we had breakfast, showered and headed off to Azrou, our next destination, the last stop prior to our final three days in Fes.
