Driving has been pretty interesting. Luckily we didn’t have to drive much in Marrakech, it’s insane: fast, not much for signals, lots of obstacles to maneuver around, very hard to see traffic lights. Peter however is having a blast driving. The roads, when not flooded or washed out, have been very good. Thre are not lots of cars on the road, lots of taxis (going fast & passing on blind corners!), some trucks/buses, and a fair amount of 4x4 tour vehicles. Otherwise, people walk a lot. You see wome in long robes carrying huge bundles of greens on their backs in from the country to feed their animals. They walk great distances, too. It’s funny seeing someone, seemingly miles from anywhere, walking or better yet, lying by the side of the road. There are lots & lots of bicycles, often carrying multiple people, other equipment, rebar, crates, etc. Many motorbikes (small moped type things, likewise often heavily laden), plenty of donkeys (“Moroccan 4x4”), donkey pulled carts (just passed one with 8 people in it!) It’s a good thing that there are not too many cars, because often the roads are totally clogged with bikes, donkeys, pedestrians and carts, all at the same time.
